Ruth was born to a fairly medium income family in Vespucci. She was never poor, she always had food on the table, but her family was no where near rich either. Her father, a United States Marine was always pretty tough on her, Ruth being the only child in the family. He often times pushed her to do better, even if she was already doing her best. This lead to Ruth being someone who strives for perfection, even if it doesn't exist in certain situations. Ruth attended school in Vespucci, however, she was usually a pretty big misfit. She didn't really spend time with many peers, often times sitting somewhere alone and reading.
By the age of seventeen, soon before her graduation, she started exploring her life more, spending times outside. This however, was a pretty bad situation knowing that Vespucci is riddled with various gangs and due to this, she at some point got into trouble more often than she should, thankfully never being sent to jail, but close to it. Her parents decided that after her graduation, it'd be best for her to move in with her aunt down on Fudge Lane, East LS. By this point, she had pretty much zero clue on what to do with her life, she often spent her time working low-end jobs as a cashier, or driving around as a cab driver using her uncle's old busted up car.
Driving around in different parts of the city as a taxi driver, she saw how divided the city really was. She noticed in certain parts, there was a large crime rate, and due to this high homicide rates. This definitely bothered her, she didn't feel the need to become some kind of city wide hero, but she definitely wanted to in one way or another, help the citizens of the city. This is when her interest in the medical field truly spiked. She plans on attending school to further her education some time in the future, and meanwhile try her best to find a profession that will provide her the future she's looking for.
