Lawrence was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the August of 1995. His father had served in the military and saw action in Panama, and was now an executive in a multi-national tech firm. Despite all this, Lawrence was raised as an upper middle-class child in the suburbs of Boston, having moved there at the early age of 7. He naturally did well in school and excelled in academics as a result. He began boxing at the age of 12, a hobby he maintains to this day.
Growing up his father was rarely present off the bat, always away from their mother on business trips, as a result he grew through the bustling two-thousands and twenty-tens with half a father. This had never stopped him from socializing though, growing up with many connections and just enough common sense to get by.
Upon high school graduation, Lawrence applied to Northeastern University and majored in Political Science. During his time in university, he moonlit as a part-time administrator at his local coroners office, enjoying the peace and quiet of the night shift where he could study in silence. He grew close to the medical examiners of his office, and had a strong interest in the field which would last the rest of his life.
After his training had been completed and he branched infantry, completed air assault school, and was deployed. Afghanistan saw him not much the first time, most of the fighting in his region had died down.
However it was the second time that the realistic aspect of war and danger played in, he had been struck in the bicep while guiding his platoon out of enemy sightlines in Kandahar - Forcing him to be put at Bagram for most of the remainder of his deployment. For conspicuous gallantry in the face of danger he was awarded a Bronze Star with a Combat V, and a Purple Heart for his injuries. Then raised to the rank of Captain, Lawrence spent the last two years of his career on exercises in Europe with his men, narrowly dodging a deployment to Syria along the way. He was granted an honourable discharge after six years service in early 2023.
He then headed back to Boston and spent two months there considering what his next step was, where he decided to travel across the country on a sort of improvised gap-year, which only lasted a few months. He made stops in various cities across the country, even venturing south of the border to spend some time in Mexico. Eventually he landed in Los Santos, which had been his final destination. His interest in the coroners office had been rekindled now, and he made the decision to apply once he'd settled.
