Growing up in a conservative family in the small town of Sandy Shores, Dalton learned to suppress his emotions and keep to himself. He was often punished for even minor mistakes or transgressions, which made him a cold and closed-off person. He learned to obey rather than rebel, in order to avoid any more punishments. Despite this, Dalton is determined to make something of himself and leave his difficult upbringing behind. He is a man with a quiet strength, who is not one to draw attention to himself but is always in control of any situation.
Dalton has always been a private person, preferring to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself. He's not one to share his personal life with others and is not interested in gossip or small talk. He's a man of few words, but when he does speak, people listen. He's respected by his friends, family and colleagues for his wisdom, intelligence and his level-headedness.
His stoic nature is not a result of being unemotional, but rather a defense mechanism that he developed growing up. He learned to suppress his emotions to avoid any more punishments from his family. He learned to hide his true self, and to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself.
Despite his cold exterior, Dalton has a strong sense of compassion and empathy. He's a good listener and is always willing to help others when they need it. He's a reliable and trustworthy friend, who is always there for those he cares about. He's a man who may not show his emotions on his sleeves, but he certainly feels them deeply.
