Fiona Oren was born to Nils Oren and Rebecca Thompson on December 20th, 1993. Her birth was the result of her Norwegian father coming to the United States and attending medical school at ULSA at the same time as her mother, also in medical school at the time. After they both graduated, they ended up both becoming doctors-- albeit in separate disciplines of medicine. Fiona's mother was a psychiatrist whereas her father became a general physician. Deciding to settle down in the place they had spent their years in medical school-- Los Santos-- they ended up buying a house and giving birth to their first kid, Fiona. Fiona grew up quite wealthy, as her parents were extraordinarily well off with their income due to their careers and fairly frugal habits.
As a kid, Fiona was known as somewhat of a recluse, often deciding to spend her time soloing any projects when given the chance and refusing to work in groups. She enjoyed-- and still does, to go on hikes and to bike-- as well as a massive passion for cinema and music. Although she would grow out of the reclusive lifestyle and eventually become an amicable and social woman, it would take quite some time for this to occur, meaning her true nature is one of a laid-back and secluded lifestyle. As for her years in school, her parents had given her quite strict rules regarding success in school, and she was not one to argue, so she followed them to the tee.
Unsure of what she wanted to do-- although obviously slightly pushed into medicine by her parents, she ended up getting an entry level job in a hospital as a medical scribe. This mostly consisted of documentation of examinations and conversations between the doctor and patient, allowing her to learn basic medical terminology and improve her ability to multitask and communicate at the same time. She thoroughly enjoyed the job, even becoming a trainer for new scribes after her first year working there. She would eventually resign in lieu of focusing fully on college, after she was accepting to ULSA, opting to major in Forensic Biology. She had been pondering the dive into fully committing to medical school but had some reservations about doing so.
Originally, she had planned on pursuing medical school much like her parents-- but decided against it. She ended up finishing college, receiving a job as a lab assistant at a private forensics research lab, of which she worked at for around seven years. As she got older, she realized the lack of improvement with her salary and position due to not having further education. Eventually, she quit-- applying for DMEC, as it is a similar vane of work to what she did. Quite set in stone in her desire to get into help others and aware of the "reputation" of isolation a job like this brings, she decided to try her hand at an entry level position with the department.
